According to the General Administration of Customs, in September 2024, the export volume of photovoltaic modules was 35.652 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 7.3%; the export value of photovoltaic modules was USD 1.853 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 40.3%, marking the lowest monthly figure in four years.

The General Administration of Customs of China announced that from January to September 2024, the cumulative export volume of photovoltaic modules reached 374 million units, an increase of 28.5% year-on-year; the cumulative export value of photovoltaic modules was USD 20.9 billion, a decrease of 29.22% year-on-year.

China's product structure: In September 2024, photovoltaic cells already assembled into modules or packaged into assemblies and photovoltaic cells not assembled into modules or packaged into assemblies were exported in volumes of 35.652 million units and 501.422 million units respectively, accounting for 6.6% and 93.4% of the total solar cell export trade volume, with year-on-year growth rates of -7.3% and 29.1% respectively.

From January to September 2024, photovoltaic cells already assembled into modules or packaged into assemblies and photovoltaic cells not assembled into modules or packaged into assemblies were exported in volumes of 409.566 million units and 5,071.351 million units respectively, accounting for 7.5% and 92.5% of the total solar cell export trade volume, with year-on-year growth rates of 24.3% and 27.7% respectively. The overall export situation is stabilizing, and it is believed that in the coming long period of time, with the increasing global demand, the export situation of solar photovoltaic panels will further improve.
