With the wider and wider spread use of solar photovoltaic modules, more and more people choose to use solar panels in all kinds of circumstances and on different kinds of surfaces. Such as RVs, yachts or lighthouses, the scenarios require the solar panels to be lighter and more flexible. During the Smart Energy Week in Tokyo, we introduced our latest version of flexible panels - CIGS and ETFE. 

The CIGS solar panel is a thin-film modules using Copper Indium Gallium Selenide (CIGS) as the main semiconductor material for the absorber layer. It can be rolled within the diameter of 30cm. 

The ETFE solar panel is using monocrystalline cells with ETFE (Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene) as a protective coating on solar panels. ETFE PV panels are usually flexible, semi-flexible or foldable. 

Compared to the conventional tempered glass panels, flexible panels have advantages like lightweight, easy installation, customizable shapes and so on.
